This creamy, and refreshing smoothie is sweet and makes the perfect wake-me-up mid-afternoon snack! The ingredients are simple, and it only takes a few minutes to make. This recipe can be made with or without the protein powder.
I fell in love with The Republic of Tea’s UMatcha Ginger Green tea! This tea is incredibly smooth, and can be enjoyed hot, cold, or in a smoothie. The rich green powder comes in a sealed pouch inside a neat little metal canister. A recipe booklet is also included, and contains plenty of fun and easy recipes to try! You can order the tea online or at Whole Foods.
-One teaspoon of Matcha Green Tea Powder
-Two bananas (Either fresh or frozen)
-One cup of almond milk (I use Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk)
-Ice (You will not need ice if the bananas are frozen)
-One scoop (or tablespoon) of Vanilla Protein Powder (My personal preference is Orgain Sweet Vanilla Bean)
First, add the almond milk, bananas, ice, and a drizzle of honey to the blender. Next, add the green tea and the protein powder. Blend until smooth, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
